Removing the "Powered by" logo from a chatbot costs $35 to $99 a month at the vendors we checked in October 2026. That's $420 to $1,188 a year, on top of the plan itself. Chatbase charges $1,188 a year, Botsonic $49 a month, SiteGPT $39 a month and Chatling $35 a month. We don't charge a branding fee on any plan.

This post covers the remove chatbot branding cost at each vendor, what it does to the total bill over a year, and when it's worth paying at all. We sell a chatbot with no branding fee, so we have an interest here. Where a competitor is still cheaper after you pay to remove its logo, we say so.

Why the badge matters (and when it doesn't)

A "Powered by" badge is a small line of text or a logo in the corner of the chat window. It's free advertising for the vendor, placed in the middle of your customer service.

When it matters

  • It's someone else's name in your sales conversation. The chat window is where a visitor asks the question that decides whether they buy. A third-party logo there makes the conversation feel less like yours.
  • It can send visitors away. If the badge is a link, a curious visitor can end up on the vendor's site instead of your checkout. Check whether yours is.
  • You built the site for a client. Agencies and freelancers usually don't want a tool vendor's name on a client's site.
  • It looks like a template. On a carefully designed site, a generic badge is the one thing that doesn't match.

We're not going to quote a statistic on how much a badge costs you in sales, because we haven't found one we'd trust. It's a judgment about how you want your site to look.

When it doesn't

  • You're testing. During a trial or a first month, keep the logo and save the money until you know the bot earns its keep.
  • It's a hobby site, an internal tool or a side project. Nobody's buying anything, so nobody minds.
  • Price per answer matters more than appearance. If you need the most answers for the least money, the cheapest plan with the logo kept is a reasonable choice. We'd make it ourselves on a project like that.

Remove chatbot branding cost, compared (October 2026)

Every figure below comes from the vendor's own pricing page as of October 2026. Vendors change prices, so check the linked page before buying.

Vendor Entry plan Branding removal Entry plan with logo removed
Chatbase $40/mo, 700 message credits $1,188/yr ($99/mo) $139/mo
Botsonic $19/mo, 1,000 messages $49/mo $68/mo
SiteGPT $59/mo, 4,000 messages (cheaper model) $39/mo $98/mo
Chatling $25/mo, 1,750 credits $35/mo (Chatling's page shows it included on its $295 Scale plan) $60/mo
Us $49/mo, 1,000 replies No fee, no badge $49/mo

Three things stand out:

  • At Chatbase and Botsonic, the branding fee is bigger than the plan. Chatbase's $99 a month is about two and a half times Hobby's $40. Botsonic's $49 is more than two and a half times its $19 plan. Our Botsonic comparison goes through what that does to its entry price.
  • SiteGPT and Chatling charge less to remove the logo, $39 and $35. Our SiteGPT comparison and Chatling comparison cover both in full.
  • The fee doesn't usually scale with the plan. A shop on an entry plan pays the same branding fee as a much larger one, so it costs small sites the most in proportion.

Other tools we compare against, including Intercom, Tidio, CustomGPT, Crisp and Wonderchat, don't list a branding fee on the pricing pages we read. If it matters to you, ask before you buy.

What that adds up to over a year

A monthly fee is easy to dismiss, so here's the same table over twelve months. These are monthly prices multiplied by 12 as of October 2026, unless stated otherwise.

Vendor Branding fee per year Entry plan + branding per year
Chatbase $1,188 $480 + $1,188 = $1,668
Botsonic $588 $228 + $588 = $816
SiteGPT $468 $708 + $468 = $1,176
Chatling $420 $300 + $420 = $720
Us, Starter monthly $0 $588
Us, Starter monthly with 30% off the first 3 months $0 $543.90
Us, Starter yearly (12 months for the price of 10) $0 $490

Chatbase offers 20% off when you pay yearly, which brings Hobby to $32 a month. That's $384 a year. Add the $1,188 branding fee and the total is $1,572, unless Chatbase discounts the fee as well, so ask.

At the next plan up

The fee usually stays the same as you move up a plan, so it becomes a smaller share of the bill. Here are the middle plans, with the logo removed, as of October 2026:

Vendor Middle plan Branding Monthly total Branding share of the bill
Botsonic $49, 3,000 messages $49 $98 50%
Chatling $75, 6,000 credits $35 $110 about 32%
SiteGPT $129, 10,000 messages (cheaper model) $39 $168 about 23%
Chatbase $150 Standard, 4,000 credits $99 $249 about 40%
Us $149 Growth, 5,000 replies $0 $149 0%

At this level Chatling is cheaper than our Growth plan even with its logo removed, and it includes more credits.

Cost per answer, logo removed

A year's total doesn't tell you what each answer costs, because the plans include different amounts. Here's the entry plan with the logo removed, divided by its allowance:

Vendor (as of October 2026) Monthly, logo removed Answers included Cost per answer
SiteGPT, cheaper model $98 4,000 messages about 2.5¢
Chatling, 1-credit model $60 1,750 replies about 3.4¢
Us, Starter $49 1,000 replies 4.9¢
Botsonic $68 1,000 messages 6.8¢
Chatbase Hobby, 1-credit model $139 700 replies about 19.9¢

The Chatbase line assumes a 1-credit model. Chatbase's FAQ lists 2, 4 or 5 credits per reply for its pricier models, which would cut Hobby to 350, 175 or 140 replies and raise the cost per answer accordingly.

Honest reading: even with the logo removed, SiteGPT on its cheaper model and Chatling on a one-credit model cost less per answer than our Starter plan. SiteGPT at $98 for 4,000 is also cheaper per message than our Growth plan, which is $149 for 5,000. If you need that volume and their cheaper models answer your questions well, they're the better buy on price. Where we're clearly cheaper is against Botsonic and Chatbase once you remove their logos. We also include lead capture on every paid plan, and one answer always counts as one reply.

Plans with no branding fee

Among the vendors we checked in October 2026, two options leave you with no branding fee:

  1. Our plans. There's no "Powered by" badge in the widget, so there's nothing to pay to remove. That applies to Starter ($49 for 1,000 replies), Growth ($149 for 5,000) and Scale ($449 for 20,000), and to the 3-day free trial. All plans are on our pricing page.
  2. Chatling's Scale plan. Chatling's pricing page shows branding removal included on Scale, which is $295 a month for 35,000 credits as of October 2026. If you need that volume, that's more credits than our Scale plan's 20,000 replies, for less money.

"No branding" isn't the same as "white label"

People searching for a white label chatbot price usually want one of two things:

  • No vendor logo in the widget. That's what this post is about, and what we include on every plan.
  • A reseller program, where an agency sells the tool under its own brand with its own dashboard, domain and billing. That's a different product, priced separately where it exists. We don't offer a reseller program. If that's what you need, ask the vendor for its agency pricing.

What to ask any vendor before you buy

  • Is there a "Powered by" badge on this plan, and does it link to your site or to the vendor's?
  • What does removing it cost, and is that monthly or yearly?
  • Does the yearly discount apply to the branding fee too?
  • Is removal included on any plan, and which?
  • Does the price change when I upgrade?

When we're not the right choice

  • You don't mind the logo. Botsonic at $19 for 1,000 messages and Chatling at $25 for 1,750 credits cost less than our $49 as of October 2026.
  • You need high volume on a budget model. SiteGPT and Chatling cost less per answer even after paying to remove their logos.
  • You want to pick the AI model or build custom actions. Chatbase offers more choice there. Our Chatbase comparison covers when to stay with it.

Frequently asked questions

Can I remove "Powered by" from my chatbot?

Usually, yes, for a fee. As of October 2026, Chatbase charges $1,188 a year, Botsonic $49 a month, SiteGPT $39 a month and Chatling $35 a month to remove their branding. Our plans have no badge, so there's nothing to remove.

Is white-labeling worth it?

It's worth paying for if the bot is on a business site where the chat is part of how you sell, or on a client's site you built. It's usually not worth it while you're testing, or on a hobby or internal site. Weigh the fee against the plan price: at some vendors, removing the logo costs more than the plan itself.

Which chatbots let you remove branding for free?

Among the vendors we checked in October 2026, we charge no branding fee on any plan, including the free trial. Chatling's pricing page shows branding removal included on its Scale plan at $295 a month. Others charge for removal or don't publish a price, so ask before you buy.
