AI chatbot for Framer: answers from your own pages, installed in two minutes

Framer sites are usually polished landing pages for a product or studio. The assistant answers pricing and process questions from what is already written, without adding a contact form nobody fills in.

Installing it on Framer

Framer has a Custom Code section in Site Settings with a slot for the end of the <body> tag, which is exactly where a chat widget belongs.

<script src="https://thebiggestnerd.com/widget.js" data-key="your-key" async></script>

Your own key is in the dashboard once you sign up.

  1. 1Open your project and click its name to open Site Settings.
  2. 2Scroll to Custom Code.
  3. 3Paste the script into the End of <body> tag box.
  4. 4Save, then Publish. Custom code does not run in the editor preview, only on the published site.

The thing that usually catches people out

Custom code is not shown in Framer's preview, so check the published URL. It may also need a paid site plan — if the Custom Code section is locked in your project, that is why.

It will not make things up about your shop

This is the part worth being careful about. An assistant that invents a 60-day return window has made a promise you have to keep. The Biggest Nerd answers from the material you gave it and nothing else — ask it something your pages do not cover and it says so, then points the customer at you.

Questions

Will it slow my Framer shop down?

No. The script is loaded asynchronously and is a few kilobytes, so the page finishes rendering whether or not the assistant has loaded. If our service is unreachable the bubble simply does not appear, and nothing else on your shop changes.

Can it make up a policy I do not have?

It answers only from the pages and notes you give it. Ask it something they do not cover and it says so and points the customer to you, rather than guessing at what shops usually do. It also cannot see your orders, so it will never claim something has shipped.

Do I need a developer to install it on Framer?

No. It is one line pasted into Framer, in the place described above. If you can edit your theme or your site settings you can install it.

What does it cost?

Every account starts with a 3-day free trial with every Growth feature and no card, then plans from $49 a month for 1,000 replies, lead capture included and no branding fee. You are billed on replies because that is the thing you can picture.
