Add an AI chatbot to your website, whatever it runs on
The Biggest Nerd is an AI chatbot for small-business websites that answers customers from your own pages and products, and says so when it doesn't know. It goes on with one script tag — the same line on every platform. What differs is where the platform lets you paste it, and what catches people out. Each guide below covers both.
<script src="https://thebiggestnerd.com/widget.js" data-key="your-key" async></script>Online stores
Answers product, stock, shipping and returns questions — see AI chatbot for ecommerce.
- AI chatbot for Shopify5 steps. Shopify keeps a separate checkout, and apps cannot inject scripts into it on anything below Shopify Plus.
- AI chatbot for WooCommerce4 steps. Editing footer.php directly works until the theme updates, at which point the change is overwritten and the assistant quietly disappears.
- AI chatbot for BigCommerce4 steps. BigCommerce's checkout is separate and Script Manager will not place anything there unless the script is marked for checkout specifically.
Website builders and CMSs
Answers hours, services, prices and policies, and takes leads — see AI chatbot for small business.
- AI chatbot for WordPress5 steps. Caching plugins.
- AI chatbot for Squarespace3 steps. Code Injection is on the Core, Plus and Advanced plans (and some legacy ones), not Basic — on Basic the box is not there.
- AI chatbot for Wix4 steps. Wix only runs custom code on a published site, never in the editor preview.
- AI chatbot for Webflow3 steps. Custom code in project settings requires a paid site plan.
- AI chatbot for GoDaddy5 steps. GoDaddy renders an HTML section inside its own frame on the page, so the chat lives in that section rather than floating over the whole site — give the section enough height and place it where people will see it.
- AI chatbot for Weebly4 steps. Saving is not publishing.
- AI chatbot for Framer4 steps. Custom code is not shown in Framer's preview, so check the published URL.
- AI chatbot for Google Sites5 steps. Because Google Sites puts embedded code in its own frame, the chat appears inside the box you drew rather than as a bubble floating in the corner, and only on the pages you add it to.
- AI chatbot for Carrd4 steps. The Embed element needs Carrd Pro Standard or higher — it is not available on the free plan or Pro Lite.

If your site lets you add a script before the closing </body> tag — usually called custom code, code injection, footer code or an HTML embed — it works there too. If it only allows code inside an embedded box, the chat opens inside that box instead of floating in the corner.
